PUSLINCH – On March 1 at about 4am, ɫشýCounty OPP officers were monitoring traffic on Highway 6 here.
Police say the officer observed a vehicle that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit.
A 34-year-old Hamilton woman was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, speeding and performing a stunt (excessive speed). She was to appear in Guelph court on March 11.
GUELPH – On March 5 at about 1:50pm, Guelph Police received a report of an intoxicated adult male driving a vehicle away from a licensed establishment located near the intersection of Victoria Road South and York Road.
“At 2:35pm, the Guelph Police Service received a report that the male had just crashed his vehicle into a snowbank at the back of a commercial parking lot … near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Royal Road,” police stated in a press release.
A 41-year-old Puslinch man was charged with driving while impaired, driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system, dangerous driving, breach of recognizance and failing to comply with an undertaking. He is to appear in court on March 21.
PUSLINCH – On March 8 at about 5:45am, ɫشýCounty OPP officers responded to a call for a single vehicle in a ditch on Laird Road West.
A 19-year-old Cambridge man was charged with driving over 80mg, driving while suspended and being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol level above zero.
He is to appear in Guelph court on March 18.
FERGUS – On March 9 at about 11:30pm, ɫشýCounty OPP officers monitoring traffic on Millburn Boulevard pulled over a vehicle.
A 55-year-old from Fergus was charged with driving while suspended, failing to signal a lane change, disobeying a stop sign, failing to surrender a licence and having care or control of a vehicle with an open container of liquor. He is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
PUSLINCH – On March 9 at about 12:30pm, a ɫشýCounty OPP officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway.
A 20-year-old from Whitby was charged with speeding, performing a stunt (excessive speed) and being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol level above zero. He is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
